MESSAGE

Goodbye January and hello February!
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to meet our
two newest staff members, please come by the office
to say hi! Karla Guerrero is our new Administrative
Assistant. Karla comes to us with a great deal of
HOA management background including portfolio management and on-
site management. Her position will provide our team with some much
needed administrative support to help ensure our ability to move forward
with the larger projects on the horizon. Teri Collett is your new Concierge at
the front desk. Teri comes to us with strong administrative and operational
experience. She also has a lot of background in working with seniors and
is great at helping our homeowners with signing up for events and getting
involved in the other activities that SDV has to offer. I am thrilled to have
them joining the SDV Family and I know you will all give them a nice warm
welcome.
Management is presently working with the FAC to create the 2020-2021
Operating Budget. We are still in the early stages of this project but as more
information is available, we will share it with the homeowners.
The Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee (EPAC) is still in
desperate need of volunteers to serve on the committee. If you, or someone
you know, is interested in serving on EPAC please complete the Volunteer
Interest Form and turn it in to the office. These forms are available on the
website and also in the flyer rack in the hallway across from the gym entrance.
The draft Election Rules have been posted on the HOA bulletin board
in The Lodge. These rules were prepared by the Association's legal counsel
to ensure SDV is compliant with SB 323. The draft Election Rules will be
reviewed by the Board and potentially approved at the February 20th Board
Meeting. During that meeting, there will be an open Forum for homeowners
to bring forward any questions or concerns about the proposed new rules. If
you have any questions about this information, please feel free to contact me
directly.
