I hope all the SDV residents are enjoying having access to the facilities
and amenities again. It has been so nice to reconnect with the residents
these past few weeks. The reopening process has been smoother than
expected. We very much appreciate the patience and willingness to
follow the new safety protocols while at The Lodge. As these temporary
restrictions change moving forward, I will continue to provide frequent
updates to the community. Please be sure to read the enclosed article that
lays out all the new requirements and safety protocols.
The lobby design project has been completed. The Interior Design Ad-
Hoc Committee did a fabulous job on this project. If you haven't had a
chance to come by to look at all the new furnishings and décor, please do!
It's so beautiful!
The Board of Directors have decided to delay the indoor pool plaster
and the indoor/outdoor pool decking projects until the fall, in favor of
being able to reopen all pools to the residents in July. Until these repairs
are made, water shoes are required in the indoor pool area and pool.
The rest of the crows' nest on the clock tower has now been removed. We
had to wait for the baby birds to leave the nest before it could be removed.
Please join me for the next Coffee with the GM on August 6 at 9 am. I will
be holding the meeting on-site in the Ballroom but can only accommodate
up to 39 people, due to social distancing requirements. Therefore, I will
also be utilizing Zoom so some residents can attend electronically. I will
send out an eBlast message with those details.
