I found the JOKE! Resident name (first & last): ________________________________________ The Joke This Month: ____________________________________________ Comments (we LOVE your notes - about anything!): _______________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | 65 Get the Joke! Last month's joke was an article about the new Five Second Stop Sign with camera, loudspeaker and lights. The powers-that-be, who get to see the joke before it goes to print, thought it was too believable. So I had to add the clown and parrot. Crazy that the first idea was in the realm of possibility. Please just stop at stop signs so we don't have to release the clowns. If you would like to win a free dinner, find the ad, article or just weird, out- of-place (and hopefully funny) item in this month's Lifestyles. When you find it, fill out the box below and turn it into the Main Clubhouse reception desk before noon on the sixth of the month. If you are the first correct guess chosen at random, you will win a free dinner. Good luck! As always, keep the great photos coming. And remember to take your camera to Sun Lakes' events - but make sure you take pictures of people who aren't in the Witness Protection Program or in trouble with the law. Don't forget photo assignment toward the back of this issue. Send any photos of Sun Lakes to sunlakesnews@ yahoo.com. My husband was on his way out the door with a for sale sign as I was reading the five second mandatory stop article. ~ Jo H. If this works, it'll be worth it! ~ Jeanne V. We who walk on Country Club daily are all waiting for this to begin. ~ Barbara C. A lot of people need the parrot. ~ Homer C. I'll be the clown, if you're taking applications ~ Linda V. Makes more sense than proposed rule change (#18-05 Section 5.01) which states "Drivers are also required to stop at all posted stop signs and refrain from reckless driving at all times". ~ Victor G. Maybe this will get the attention of all the people who run stop signs in Sun Lakes. You know who you are. ~ Jerry B. Creative solution, but who's gonna pay for it? ~ Joan A. Hey! No clowning around allowed in Sun Lakes! ~ Betty B. Spike strips can be used on many through streets used as short cuts! ~ Patricia S. I have been practicing at the stop signs so I'll be ready for the new ones. Counting, one- one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thousand. ~ Pat H. Stressed when reading this until the end.
