30 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | Summertime and The Fourth Of July is a time of American pride and celebration. We love to sip our favorite beverage by the pool or fire up the grill with burgers and hot dogs as the warm summer heat engulfs our bodies and senses. The music of John Philip Souza being played in the park by a military band or by almost any high school band or orchestra on a hot summer July afternoon has been our nation's tradition since the 1800s. We celebrate our country's birthday every year with this music and many other military favorites. The Fourth of July always seems extra special and memorable when we hear these wonderful pieces of music played time and time again. America/Ray Charles I'm sure many of us will long remember such great patriotic classics performances of the National Anthem such as the one by Whitney Houston at Super Bowl 25 in 1991 not to mention so many other super stars at various Super Bowls to include, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, The Dixie Chicks and Mariah Carey. Whether it's songs of national pride or songs that celebrate summer you will most likely find them in a Karaoke version when you join Rosie Ingalls,Barb Miller and D.J. Blast for Sun Lakes' own Goodtimes Karaoke. You will enjoy the fun visuals, dancing, visiting and singing as the evening unfolds with every new singer.
