48 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | RV Club Hello again and, as they say, let the "Hot Days of Summer" begin. So RV Club article writer, in the last issue, you stated that in this issue you would tell us how the trip to Chula Vista went. Well, I am here to keep my promise. The Trail Boss Barbara Reed has offered the following summary on this trip, along with the pictures included with this article. It's all yours Barbara: Chula Vista RV Resort Wrap-up / Wagon Masters: Barbara Reed & Vivian Myrdahl We had 14 rigs join us at the beautiful Chula Vista RV Resort in Chula Vista, Ca. Sunday afternoon everyone was welcomed and later treated to dinner of baked potato bar, salad, and ice cream. Each night we had a social hour to share our plans and ideas for the week. The committee had sign-ups for the games to be played on Monday. Monday, members got together and played bocce ball and baseball. Lunch was provided by the committee and for dinner we were on our own, most of us walked to the Galley restaurant. Tuesday, a special breakfast was served at the Galley restaurant which left the rest of the day for hiking, swimming or just basking in the sun. Wednesday, some enjoyed a round of golf while others strolled on the beach or visited downtown San Diego by trolley followed by an evening BBQ and horse race. Thursday, the committee provided a continental breakfast that even included biscuits and gravy. Free afternoon followed by an awards dinner catered by Hunter's Steakhouse. Friday, we said our good-byes until next time. Thank you to committee members: John and Peggy Andrews and Jim and Lyn Ball. Special thanks to Bob and Amy Stilson. Thanks Barbara. Since we are talking RV Club rallies, I want to repeat what was in the June issue about our next trip. Sun Lakes RV club is having a rally this coming October, at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort. Check in is on Oct. 14 for four nights, leaving on Oct. 18. We have 25 sites reserved, with a possibility of adding more sites. This is lovely beach front property. Come and enjoy many club activities, games and a golf outing. Walk the beach with your dog, try your hand at clam digging, and just have fun.
