photography group creative writers After nearly a decade as a member of this club, one of my favorite things is still the ve minute writing exercise that we have most every time we meet. A subject is chosen at random and then everyone writes something about it with no preparation. It can be ction, poetry, a memoir or even a history lesson. The results almost never have anything in common but are all interesting and thought provoking. Come join us every rst Monday in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Bring your writing or pen and paper and we will help you learn to write or improve. Info., Roger Smith, 769-2808. woodworkers club We are a group of men and women who work in all phases of woodworking. We get together each month on the second Friday of the month in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Craft Room at 3 pm. The group is open to any and all residents of Sun Lakes. You need not be a current woodworker, you only need the interest in woodworking. If you want to get back into woodworking or if you want to start woodworking. We are the place, come join us. Info., Everett Inman, 845-8609. Winter is another great time to take photographs. You have holidays, winter travel and great scenery. Whether youve shot family photos or fantastic works of art bring them to the January meeting and share your best with the group. You can bring prints or a digital image on ash drive or CD to project onto our big screen. Everyone, amateur or pro, is welcome; you can ask for critiques of your work or simply show off. Meetings are the second Monday of each month (Jan. 14 this month) in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose room at 7 pm. There will also be a tutorial from Steve Felber on the new Photoshop Elements 11 whether or not you got one for Christmas or are planning to buy one. Try to limit your photos to ve but no one will complain if you bring more. This is a friendly group meeting and there are no dues. Questions? Ask any of our knowledgeable members who can help you with any technical or artistic advice. For other meeting info., call Steve Felber, at 769-6898. international dancers Happy 2013 from all of us to all of you. We hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season.
