Motorcycle Club Firearm Enthusiasts Firearm ownership is a very responsible process of training, safety and familiarity with your rearms. More and more of our members are learning the importance of practice. Take the opportunity to practice at least once a month to maintain your skill level and familiarity with your rearms. Remember to save your targets if you want an evaluation. We will schedule a trip to the High Desert Rod & Gun Club after the rst of the year. If you need a shooting partner, check on the roster and make a call. This is a good way to meet your fellow enthusiasts and swap stories. Meetings are the rst Friday of the month at 4 pm in Lodge Ballroom. Contacts: Ron Morgan (951) 315-0466, email: ronm627@aol. com; or Steve Meier (909) 528-3342, email: sm45para@gmail. com. Reminder: No rearms allowed on The Lodge premises. ~ Ron Morgan A&D GOLF CARTS The December weather has treated us very nicely this year and allowed most of our social rides to take place. Steve Sarchett led a ride to San Diego to visit the Deer Park Winery and Museum. Bob Howard led a scenic ride down to Mecca and then up through Joshua Tree National Park. The short rain shower at the beginning of this trip did not deter these bikers and the scenery was beautiful enough to schedule a repeat trip for those who were unable to make this one. Our social Thursday Lunch Rides have been well attended considering all the other holiday activities which are keeping us active adults so busy. We are currently planning our 2013 trip calendar. If you are interested in motorcycling, come join us at our monthly meetings which are held in the ballroom on the rst Wednesday of each month at 6 pm. ~ Howard Lyon CUSTOM GOLF CARTS We welcome trade-ins & buy used golf carts Sat., Jan. 5, 9 am - 1 pm ALL cars will be sold at reduced prices! The 8-Ball club meets for the enjoyment of playing billiards for fun and competitive play with in-house tournaments; as well as tournaments with other 8-ball clubs in nearby retirement communities. The skill levels of club members range from beginner to expert. This is a fun sport that both men and women enjoy. We have four couples that enjoy playing as part of the club. Meetings are held the rst Wednesday of each month. The in-house 8-Ball tournaments are on the second Wednesday and the 9-Ball in-house tournaments on the third Saturday of each month. For away tournaments, check the bulletin board in the Pool Room for dates and location. We practice on nontournament Mondays as well as every Wednesday and Friday at 7 pm. The in-house tournament winners for November 2012 were Dewey Allen (8-ball) who nished undefeated in double elimination, Ray Windhorn earned second place.
