On Wed., Aug. 22 at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose
Room we will meet to hear guest speaker Gina Ortega, a professional
genealogist. All are invited and welcome to attend. Bring your
questions on your family history or DNA results so that Gina and
our club members can help you with some answers.
While on vacation in Montana and Colorado this summer I was
able to contact family members I haven't seen in 45 years. What
a great reunion that was! Plus I was able to get all the names and
dates of cousins who live there and collect family stories that were
so precious to record. Our club is anxious to hear your stories also
from vacation time. Maybe some of us have connecting cousins
and don't know it yet.

Genealogical Society
Hear ye! Hear ye! All of you out there who have ever thought
of writing about your life, your experiences, your fantasies, or
anything that comes into your mind. Imagination is a wonderful
gift we all possess. Why not pick up your pencil, pen, or turn on
your computer. "WORD" is the program that will answer your
call. Give yourself the time to see what your creative juices will
evoke. To further your experiences, why not check out your Sun
Lakes Creative Writers' Group, get your ink wet, and explore your
possibilities and capabilities. You'll never know what you can come
up with until you meet people like yourself who support you along
the adventure. Monthly meetings are on the first Monday and third
Wednesday, from 3 to 5 pm, in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose
Room.
PLEASE NOTE: During July and August, we will meet on the first
Mondays only. Wednesday meetings will resume in September. For
