Aug. 11: Hot August Country and Western Night: EVENT OPEN TO ALL SUN LAKES RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS. The fabulous Johnny Crockett will WOW you with his vast repertoire of country and western music. Lynn Domme and Joe Serafini have graciously agreed to teach a couple of dances for those who want to learn a new dance or two. Entertainment begins at 7 pm for a mere cost of $10 pp paid to YAH. The Restaurant will offer an appetizer buffet available at 5:30 pm for $10 tax and tip included. Don and Rita Laundreaux are the hosts for this event. Checks can be dropped off at 1049 Oakland Hills Dr. Indicate on your sign up if you plan to partake of the appetizer buffet so the club will have a head count. The $10 buffet charge will be paid directly to SLCC. Look for flyers regarding this event in the Main Clubhouse lobby. Take advantage of the cool air in the Ballroom and join your friends for a fun evening. If you have a group that would like to sit together, please submit all checks in one envelope. The deadline for signing up is Aug. 3. Sept. 27: Girls & Pearls: Join us for a girl's night out at the North Clubhouse beginning at 5 pm. Start the night with a glass of champagne while being entertained by the beautiful International Dancers who will perform several Asian dances. You will be amazed by the history of the Japanese pearl divers who were often called mermaids. Each guest will harvest a unique pearl from real oysters. Enjoy wonderful appetizers and a chance to create your own beautiful pearl necklace. This event is limited to the first 64 YAH members to sign up. October – No events Nov. 18: Killer Dueling Pianos: If you missed out on this event last year, don't miss out this year. Get your friends and relatives together and sign up for this Vegas-style show in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 4 to 7 pm. With a catalog of songs ranging from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, everyone is sure to have a fun time. This event will be open to all Sun Lakes residents and their guests. There will be table seating in the round and appetizers available for purchase. Cost is $15 pp. The club will offer an appetizer bar for $10 tax and tip included payable directly to SLCC.
