FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2018 47 We are so excited to be back to regular rehearsals every Monday at 3 pm in the Lodge Ballroom. We are getting ready for our big Holiday Show which includes some traditional music as well as some new music. We will be meeting every week between now and the Holiday Show, which is an early weekend in December this year. Since we have just started back on Aug. 6, now would be a good time to join. You'll be starting up at the same time as everyone else. We always welcome new recruits! Just a reminder that Susan Youel is also doing Singing class every Wednesday at 3 pm in RCN3. This is a chance to get back to singing again, or begin singing. (Listed under classes, not clubs.) If you would like to join the Singers, would like to be included in my email list, or if you have questions about the Four Seasons Singers, call (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@dc.rr.com. ~ Barbara Wasco Four Seasons Singers Classical Music Club We are classical music lovers with an interest in sharing our love, knowledge, and interest in classical music. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Theater. We listen to and watch musical selections on the big screen. Each month we focus on a particular work or several selections of one composer. We also discuss current musical performances in the area. We welcome new members. July is a very slow month for the club, due to several members being on vacation. The club elected officers for next year and the new president will be Sue Pensak. She has been a member for 15 years and has been Club Secretary for most of that time. In July she attended the Officer's Training, put on by Kiwanis District Officers. Our next event will be Octoberfest in September, which is at Noble Creek Park. The event is organized by the Beaumont Recreation and Park District. Kiwanis will be selling apple strudel as our fall fundraiser, and all proceeds will go towards youth service programs in Beaumont. We are always looking for new members. The more members we have, the more service we can do in the community. Our focus is helping the children of the world and the community of Beaumont. The Beaumont Kiwanis Club meets at 6:30 pm in the Lodge Conference Room every Thursday except the first Thursday of the month. Many of the members come early and order at the Bistro and eat prior to the meeting. For further information, call Buzz Dopf at (909) 208-0880. Hope to see you there! ~ Buzz Dopf
