40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2018 Amphitheater We have passed the halfway point of our summer concert series, and it is the 49th anniversary of the final night of Woodstock back in 1969. This will be a fun night, so come dressed in your best 1969 style duds so you have a chance of winning a prize for "best outfit." We have some surprises in store for a fun evening. If you have pictures of yourself from the sixties, please send to Cindy Graves at the Lodge. Music for the evening is provided by Robert Sarzo and his band, Salute to Santana. Based in Long Beach, they recreate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star at his best on classic rock grooves such as Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va. Sarzo's amazing talent captures Carlos Santana's music and highlights in an unforgettable salute to Carlos Santana. These talented musicians have toured with a "who's who" of the rock and Latin music world. The concert begins at 7 pm at the Amphitheater. The morning of the day of the concert, the sound crew is busy installing and checking the lighting and sound systems. You are welcome to place your chairs in the amphitheater area after 10 am.. Please remember to leave some "leg room" for those folks who elect to sit on the concrete risers. As seating in the "theater" is tight you may still enjoy the music on the pool deck or spread a blanket on the grass area between the pool and stage area. Our days are warm and evenings can be quite cool so you may need a sweater or wrap to stay comfortable. Beverages need to be in non-glass containers. See you there! Be prepared to rock out at Four "Seasonsstock." ~ Doris SanFilippo We're baaack! It's been a couple of months since our last show but we're ready with new performances to wow you. The Performing Arts Club will be presenting two new comedy Radio Shows on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 pm. One will be an Our Miss Brooks episode from 1949, called Everyone Who Comes Must Perform. The second one is a Bright Star show from 1952, called Aunt Sophy Plays Matchmaker. We held auditions in July and all the actors are busy preparing for these performances. In addition to regular rehearsals, we're also attending acting lessons. We want to upgrade our shows with improved acting, new sound effects, and costumes. While these skits were designed to be heard only on the radio, this time we are going to play to the audience to enhance your viewing pleasure. You'll definitely want to come and see how much we've improved. So, put Aug. 25 on your calendar for some free Saturday night entertainment. Bring your dinner and beverages of choice. The Ballroom will be set up with tables & chairs in nightclub style. Love & Marriage II - Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Sept. 29. Free admission, but tickets are required. PAC will present our second installment of Love & Marriage. It will be comprised of 12 funny skits. We first brought this show to you two years ago and it was a total sell-out and a huge success. Tickets will be available early next month. Please check with the Lodge Front Desk for the exact day. You want to make sure to get your tickets early, as we expect another sell-out. You don't want to miss this show. Holiday Show - Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1. Free admission, but tickets are required. In addition to the Four Seasons Singers choir entertaining you with holiday songs and an audience sing-a-long, this is going to be a variety show, the likes of the old Bob Hope USO tours. There will be singing, comedy and dancing acts that will surely keep you smiling and entertained. More details on our future shows to come in the next Breeze.
