FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2018 49 Our Thursday evening couples group is a HOOT! We have so much fun, always laughing and joking around. Unfortunately, due to the water issue at the Lodge, we were evacuated early on the day we were supposed to have our Fourth of July tournament; so it was rescheduled for July 13 and results will be posted in the September issue of the Breeze. The new schedule for 5 to 8 pm open play has turned out to be a big hit with everyone. Some come at 5 and leave around 6:30 or 7 pm and others come in around 6 pm and stay until 8 pm. If you're looking for a fun evening with a great group of people, come check us out — no charge for watching or learning. June 11 was our quarterly luncheon at La Casita. We had 16 ladies attending and we were sporting our new HOT pink shirts. Our annual Fourth of July tournament was held on July 2 and we divided into two groups based on level of play. Our first group (more experienced) was the "Stars." We had 10 ladies participate in this group. Our second group (still learning) was the "Stripes;" we had six ladies in this group. Everyone wore their Curly Cue shirts; and we took a new group picture which will be out in the September issue of the Breeze. Winner of the "Stars" group: first place was Joy Collins. Leta Ramirez came in second. Winners of the "Stripes" group: first place was Barbara Dipoma. Lois Waugh came in second. Due to vacations and busy summer schedules, we will only have one session: 11 am to 1 pm on Mondays until after Labor Day weekend. We will then go back to our regular schedule of 11 am to 1 pm and 1 to 3 pm.
