Even for some of our most dedicated motorcycle club riders,
extremely hot weather can make riding a bit uncomfortable. This is
evidenced by a slight drop off in the number of riders who normally
turn out for our weekly Thursday rides. Also, some of our members
have headed out of town on extended trips to cooler climates. Most
notably, Club President Terry Humble and his wife, Janet, are on a six-
week camping and fishing trip up in Idaho, Montana and Canada but,
this doesn't mean their trip is all about camping and fishing. Terry
took his Harley in tow behind the RV and the word is that Terry and
Janet have gotten in some great rides when the fish haven't been biting.
Hats off to Bob Howard, Chuck Price, Scott Snyder, Larry Haig and
Bernie Albenese. Despite the hot weather, they headed out on a recent
Thursday ride to Palomar Mountain and had lunch in Pauma Valley
before heading back home.
We ride every Thursday, weather permitting. We meet at the lodge
parking lot and are on the road promptly at 9 am; these are generally
150 mile to 200 mile rides with a lunch break. So, if you love to ride
and are thinking about joining the Four Seasons Motorcycle Club, join
us for one of our rides. Also, we have a monthly club meeting on the
first Wednesday of the month at 6 pm in the RCN building, next to the
Lodge. Our next meeting is Aug. 1 so feel free to drop by and meet
some of our members. We would love to meet you! ~ Jim Ayala
