| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | August 2018 | 13 Facilities Committee "Leadership is action, not position"… These words aptly describe the work ethic of our former Facilities Committee Chairman, Roy Brennon. Since moving to Four Seasons in Hemet, Roy has been a leader in enhancing and maintaining our community. His approach always placed the interests and welfare of the residents ahead of his own. Roy has been a force of direction and accomplishment. He will be missed by all those who know him, worked with him, and above all, came to respect him for his self-sacrificing service. We hope that Roy continues to enjoy a long and happy life. What happens behind closed doors at a Facilities Meeting? After our meeting is called to order by the chairman, we begin by introducing and listening to homeowner input – Residents who wish to speak to the committee regarding service concerns, maintenance related items, or items listed on the meeting agenda. We then turn our attention to vendors who have been invited to share their proposals on current and future project contracts. After considering the presentations by homeowners and vendors, we proceed with the following agenda: • Acceptance of the minutes from the previous meeting • Review annual and monthly Maintenance Guide Inspections • Review management's Project & Service Tracking list • Discuss progress of old business and ongoing projects • Discuss new business and project proposals • Review contract renewals and long-term projects • Consider recommendations to the Four Season Board of Directors The mission of the Facilities Committee is to maintain and improve our community. As members of our committee resign due to various circumstances, we welcome new candidates who are willing to make a positive difference by sacrificing their time and effort. Every individual has a unique quality or skill that can contribute to the success and value of Four Seasons in Hemet. Please join us! Landscape Committee As mentioned previously, the Landscape Committee is now in the process of working on the next phase to improve the overall appearance of the entire length of World Cup from Four Seasons Blvd. and through the back gate exit. With committee direction, the landscape contractor has drawn up a plan and it is now under review by the committee. The plan once approved by the Landscape Committee will be presented to the Board of Directors for their review. If approved by the Board of Directors the target date for planting is late September or early October. With the World Cup planting behind us, it will complete the final phase of the landscape renewal project which began in phases two years ago. We continue to work and are finalizing the plans for the new water feature that will replace the existing fountain in the roundabout in front of the Lodge. The new water feature will have a cascading effect with lighting to enhance the night time appearance. The committee thinks this will greatly improve the entrance to the Lodge and the "WOW" factor should impress all who pass by it. A reminder for those homeowners who have concerns regarding landscaping, please fill out a Landscape Maintenance Request Form available at the Lodge front desk and it will be forwarded to the appropriate department for immediate attention. As the chair of the committee I want to thank our members for all the time and effort they put in to the projects we undertake and for keeping on top of all the landscape areas the HOA is responsible for. The committee members we appreciate are John Curts, Co-Chair, Dennis Harris, Secretary, Charles Ball, Addis Scott, Brenda Billson and Rudy Rich.
