Fri., Oct. 5, 7 - 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. The premier Eagles tribute band, Desperado, is back. This is the classic rock concert that you won't want to miss out on! The band consists of five lead vocalists and instrumentalists and includes members who have actually played with the Eagles. They will be performing the Eagles soaring harmonies while executing the guitar parts and rhythm track to perfection. Desperado challenges the listener to tell the difference between what is being played live and the original versions of the songs. The show will be theater seating, first come first serve. Tickets for this event are $15. Sign up with the Recreation Department. DESPERADO The Premier Eagles Tribute Band On Sat., Oct. 20 at 9 am the Recreation Department will host the seventh annual Halloween Doggie Costume Parade. The parade is at the Main Clubhouse Veranda and Driving Range. This event is $4 per dog (checks only) to register with a limit of 50 registered dogs. There will be trophies given out to the costume winners. Awards include first, second and third place in addition to Most Creative, Most Glamorous and Most Scary. All dogs that participate will receive a treat for participation. Light beverages will also be provided for everyone. Registration starts Mon., Sept. 3. Please sign up with the Recreation Department at the Main Clubhouse. BLOOD DRIVE Tues., Oct. 9, 9 am – 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. This blood drive supports Lifestream, a blood bank for the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Donated blood goes to local hospitals in our area such. Our goal is to have 40 people donate. If you are interested please call the reception desk and sign up for a time slot. We have time slots every 15 minutes from 9 am to 2 pm. PREMIER WORLD DISCOVERY PRESENTATION Wed., Oct. 24, 10:30 am,, Main Clubhouse Ballroom. It's that time again for Matt Jaeckel, Regional Sales Manager for "Premier World Discovery" to present the 2019 trips which include: Discover Panama, New Orleans Cajun Country, Iceland Explorer, New York City & the Hudson Valley as well as the Historic South Holiday. Matt will narrate each trip with a slide show. Cookies and coffee will be provided at intermission. COMMUNITY SHREDDING Fri., Oct. 26, 9 am to 12 pm, Main Clubhouse parking lot. Do you have boxes of paper taking up space? We have a solution for you. On Oct. 26 there will be a truck shredding papers on site at the Main Clubhouse for only $4 a box (standard bankers box please). This is a great way to get rid of those confidential papers that you no longer need. The event is 9 am to 12 pm. No sign ups are required. Just show up with your boxes. Info., 845-2191. OCTOBER GARAGE SALES Start cleaning out those garages for our Fall Garage Sales. Sales are 8 am to 4 pm. Residents are asked to have any remaining items that did not sell back into their homes after the garage sale.
