We will also be providing unique and colorful costumes, as always. Parties are the "mood of the day" for summertime. We had a great turnout at a special celebration for one of our dancers on Aug. 6; and the luau on Aug. 19 was a big success. We also look forward to our "International Foods Tasting" event on Sept. 16; members, spouses and significant others are welcome. It will be our first event of this kind and will expand our knowledge of different cultures from around the world. The annual Follies of Sun Lakes is coming up the end of September and our ladies who have committed to performance of Asian dances in this show are diligently practicing to do our best. The same is true for those who are performing for the Young at Heart party on Sept. 27, which will also be Asian dance. Our Belly Dancers will be performing at the "Mediterranean Night" on Sept. 22. Please mark it on your calendar. Many ladies have asked about Belly Dance classes here at Sun Lakes. All are welcome to come and enjoy our relaxing atmosphere of fun on Thursdays. Int'l Culture Club Our club is celebrating Brazil at our September Dinner Dance on Thurs., Sept. 13. Doors to the Ballroom open at 5:30 pm and the music that is provided by the band American Made starts at 6 pm. The buffet will feature kielbasa sausage with green bell peppers, chicken piccata, red beans, rice, Brazilian vegetables, and banana cream pie for dessert will be table served along with coffee and water. Iced tea will be on a side board. A dinner salad of hearts of palm, tomato, and onions along with sourdough rolls and butter will be preset at the table. Sign-ups for this evening of fun are on the first Thursday in September at 3 pm in the North Clubhouse. It costs $24 for club members, and $27 for non-resident guests.
