Summer Leagues are winding down and we're getting ready for our fall Leagues to start. The organizational meeting will be held on Oct. 2 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Bowling starts Tues., Oct. 9 at 9 am at Canyon Lanes. If you have a team or need to find a team, call Teri Comerford at 760-217-9656 ASAP. Sun Lakers at Canyon Lanes It has been a very hot summer but it has always been cool at Canyon Lanes. Our summer league is nearly over and soon our winter league will begin. Winter league starts Sept. 10 at 9 am. Please contact Teri (760) 217-9656 for information on joining. It was good to see Norris back at the allies; he is looking good and I am sure he was glad to be back at work. These are the season team high scores at this time: First place is Contenders with Bill McDonald, Lisa Koerbel, Mel Green and Shirley Mc Donald. Second place is X Factor with Clarissa Toro, Carmen Gardner, Dan Cosner and Tom Keheley. Third place is 3 Vets and a Civ with Cary Chapman, Kathy Duerr, Bridjette Whaley and Joseph De La Torre. Season High Scores for the men are: Joseph DE La Torre with High Scratch Series of 739, Andy Toro with High Scratch Game of 278, Richard Ming with High Handicap Series of 793 and Frank Otten with High Handicap Game of 304. Season High Scores for the women are: Bridjette Whaley with High Scratch Series of 533, Laura Irwin with High Scratch Game of 210, Lil McLean with High Handicap Series of 749 and Pat Besesi with High Handicap Game of 274. Try to stay cool and we hope to see you at the lanes. Sun Lakers III As of this writing it is almost too hot to write. The hottest team today is the Almosts in first place and with it also has a high scratch series of 1910 and they are Burt Garbell, Emil Nily and his wonderful wife Ida, Paul Wojton. Congratulations!
