24 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 10 am in the RCN Building. At the August meeting, residents expressed their concerns about the traffic, specifically speeding and cars running stop signs. Please be aware of our posted speed limits and respect the yield and stop signs. Also be aware of the change in the flow of traffic at the Crooked Creek Gate and Windmill Bridge. Yield to the cars already in the roundabout. When coming into the gate watch for cars that will continue around the circle to either cross the bridge or travel up Four Seasons. All cars crossing the bridge may not be going out the gate. Always be alert to the new traffic flow since the bridge is now open. Our next meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10 am in the RCN. We welcome all. ~ Anita Worthen Safety Committee The Community Planning and Transition Committee is making good progress to meet its objective for the HOA takeover from K. Hovnanian which is anticipated to occur at the conclusion of 2019. The committee expects final gas company approval for the dog park anytime now. A presentation was made regarding a proposed storage option near the lodge pool equipment area. Once additional storage is available, it will be possible to entertain installation of a sink in the ballroom storage room. Three residents are filing applications to serve on the CP&T committee, have attended three meetings and were slated for interviews to complete final phase of the membership process. We welcome homeowners' interest. Our meetings are at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN conference room. Please come visit us. ~ Johanna Ballard Community Planning & Transition Committee At our July meeting, the financial statements for the month of June 2018 were reviewed and recommended for BOD approval. Highlights of the June financial report follows: Total assets are $8,534,116 including checking $288,452; and reserve assets $6,852,279. Operating money market and CDs totaled $1,266,631. Total liabilities at this time are $267,770 and total equity of $1,414,066. There was a net income surplus of $22,319 for the month. This surplus reflects the reallocation of the HOA fee to provide additional funds to the operating budget which was required to meet increases in expenses. Net income and operating expenses remain a key focus of the Finance Committee. Front yard cost center expenses were under budget by $920, and Springdale cost center expenses were over budget by $696. Eight vendor proposals were reviewed. All proposals were recommended for Board approval. Six committee persons and Len Tavernetti, representing Board Liaison Claudeen Diaz, were present. There is an opening on the Finance Committee. If you are interested, please come to our next meeting on Sept. 25. ~ Barry Ginnetti Finance Committee
