Just as an FYI, the Billiards Room is a cool place to hang out when the temperatures outside are blistering! "Cool" in the literal sense of the word, as well as the figurative and fun sense of the word. The members of BFFG are truly cool people who love the game of pool and enjoy challenging each other every week. (Check out the photos for visual proof!) C'mon all you new move-ins, check us out! We would so enjoy some fresh challengers! Speaking of competition, our third quarterly tournament of the year was held on Aug. 21, and the winners (as well as their smiling pictures) will go down in Four Seasons history, published in the October article of the Breeze. Look for them! You too can have your picture in a BFFG article of the Breeze, but you have to join this fun group to do so. We have two sessions of play every Tuesday at 11 am or 1 pm for two hours each, hosted by Dave Martin and Pete Antoine, respectively. Also there are two practice sessions open to the entire community on Saturdays in the same two time slots. This is a fun group of people, and up 'til now, you're missing out, so come join us! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine 48 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 Larry Rice was undefeated in nine rounds of 8-Ball play this month, but not before Rocket Spinosa had his chance to play him in the final match. Rocket lost early to Jone Babin during the first game but won five games to get into the finals. Good try Rocket, but Larry is hard to beat. Speaking of Jone Babin, wow. In 9-Ball, Jone went four rounds before dropping into the losers bracket. She then returned to face Kenny Payne in the finals. Kenny was victorious and took the title but once again Jone placed second which is a notable feat. That's two months in a row Jone has distinguished herself, great job! Congratulations to Larry Rice and Kenny Payne monthly 8-Ball and 9-Ball Champions. The 8-Ball Club Basketball Everyone is welcome. We meet at the basketball court starting at 5 pm on Fridays. Bring your energy and be prepared to have some fun. ~ Richard Hoffman Billiards for Fun Jone Babin and Kenny Payne Rocket Spinosa and Larry Rice Richard Carrasco contemplates his shot Tracy Laykoff lines up her next shot Dave Martin keeps one foot on the floor The 8-Ball Club officers are Captain Del Lyles, Sr., (951) 845-5114; Co-Captain Roland Harrah, (951) 267-3793, rolandthanh@msn.com; Thanh Harrah, Secretary/Treasurer, (951) 267-3793, rolandthanh@msn.com. ~ Roland Harrah
