40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 Amphitheater The month of September brings us to the end of our Amphitheater Concert Series for this year. Be prepared to be entertained in a big way! Big Band - The Kelly Rae Band is a six-piece musical group based in Southern California. Led by Kelly Rae, vocalist, the six talents have performed together for over six years. Big Sound - The music is country style with some punch. They pay homage to country greats such as Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Big Mix - Their performance is enriched by a nod to musicians such as the Eagles, James Taylor and Carly Simon. Big Surprises - A calf-roping contest will begin at 6:30 pm. (Lassos are provided.) In addition, there is a cowboy hat contest. Don't forget to get your ticket for the drawing for a fabulous gift basket. As always, the concert begins at 7 pm, in the Amphitheater located adjacent to the paddle ball courts. To reserve seating, you are welcome to place your chairs in the Amphitheater after 10 am the morning of the concert. This allows time for the sound crew to get an early start for installing and testing both the lighting and sound systems. As seating space is tight, consider placing your chairs on the lawn area or use the pool area to enjoy the concert. As the sun goes down, it can become quite cool, so a jacket or sweater might be needed. You are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice, which must be in a non-glass container. See you at the concert! ~ Doris SanFilippo Welcome, September! I hope that our long heat streak ends and we get to enjoy some fall weather. First, I would like to thank everyone who came out to our Radio Show on Aug. 25. We have worked hard to make these shows more entertaining for your enjoyment. I hope that having our actors interact with each other added to a great evening for our audience. I would love to hear your feedback (contact info is at the end of this article). Next up is the Love & Marriage II show on Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Sept. 29. Please check with The Lodge front desk for notification when free tickets for this show become available. Two years ago, Love & Marriage was a sell-out, so get your tickets early. Rehearsals are going great, so I'm confident that this performance will be a B-I-G hit! It's comprised of 12 short, funny skits that all revolve around love and marriage. This show is not to be missed. On Fri., Nov. 30 and Sat., Dec. 1, we will present our annual Holiday Show. The Four Seasons Singers will sing several holiday songs to start the show and will end with an audience sing-a-long. The main performance has been named "WWII in the South Pacific." It's an homage to the USO shows that took place at several military bases and outposts during WWII. There will be many singers, dancers, and comedy bits for your enjoyment.
