FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 41 Let's Dance If you want to be more active and have fun doing it, join us on Tuesday afternoons for Country Line Dance in the Ballroom. Music and dancing are good for the soul. Country line dancing doesn't require a partner and dances can be modified for minor mobility issues, so please come and try it. There will not be a Beginners' Class in September. A new two-month class for beginners will start in October and continue in November. These classes will be held starting at 2 pm. The students who have just finished the two-month Beginners' Class recently are ready to move on to the Intermediate Class which starts at 3 pm. There is less step-by- step teaching, except for new dances. A quick review of the steps will be done as needed for familiar dances. The Advanced Class starts at 3:45 pm. New dances are introduced, but you need to know the basic steps very well and be an experienced dancer. Bring water and wear shoes that can slide on the wood floor. A donation of $1 per week helps to pay for Sock Hops and our holiday party. We had a great turnout for the August Sock Hop. Everyone had fun dancing to some great music. Thanks, Dave and Janine! Come and join us! ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing Our Summer Fun dinner and dance was a very successful event! Guests were "Welcomed Aboard" the Four Seasons Cruise experience for a wonderful evening of delicious food, friendship and a wide variety of dancing to the sounds of American Made. There were photo op areas around the Ballroom to add to the fun! The photos show just a few examples of the dancing fun throughout the evening. Our next event will be the Annual Christmas Dinner and Dance Party on Friday, Dec. 7. Put this on your calendar now and plan to be with us. In September we will be learning the Salsa/Mambo. We will be dark on Labor Day, Sept. 3, with class resuming on Monday, Sept. 10. Newcomers and beginners meet at 6 to 7 pm; Intermediate and advanced at 7 to 8 pm. The cost is $10 per person with our professional instructors. Contacts: Puring or Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333 or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Sue Condurachi Janine Rohrbacker teaching a new line dance. Members enjoyed our Summer Fun dinner and dance
