FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 47 The Four Season Singers are back to regular rehearsals every Monday at 3 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. We are getting ready for our big Holiday Show. We are working on some traditional music, but also some new music. We will be meeting every week between now and the Holiday Show, which is a weekend at the end of November and the first of December. Since we have just started back on Aug. 6, now would be a good time to join. We always welcome new recruits who want to sing! Just a reminder that Susan Youel is also doing Singing for Seniors every Wednesday in RCN Room 3. This is a chance to start back singing again, or just start singing. (Listed under classes, not clubs.) If you would like to join the Singers, would like to be included in my email list, or if you have questions about the Four Seasons Singers, call (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@dc.rr. com. ~ Barbara Wasco Four Seasons Singers SEASONED SOLOS If you are single and enjoy a variety of activities, then Seasoned Solos just might be the group for you. We currently have 20 plus members. At each meeting we discuss what is going on in the Inland Empire and plan activities for the coming month, from local lunches and dinners to excursions to presidential libraries, Redlands Bowl, Metro Link trips into LA and the beach train to San Juan Capistrano. There's not much that we won't consider doing. We meet on the first Friday of each month in The Lodge Craft Room at 6 pm. For further information call Joyce at (951) 850-3055. ~ Joyce Olson Classical Music Club We are classical music lovers with an interest in sharing our love, knowledge, and interest in classical music. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Theater. We listen to and watch musical selections on the big screen. Each month we focus on a particular work or several selections of one composer. We also discuss current musical performances in the area. We welcome new members. Contact Steve Benoff at steve.benoff@verizon.net or (310) 413-4896. ~ Steve Benoff Kiwanis Club of Beaumont During the last month the club has given out three of the four high school scholarships. The students gave a presentation on where they were going to school and what they were going to major in. They all seemed to be great young leaders. The three students were Thomas Mezzie, Jacob Lugo and Veronica Boatman. The club is also going to provide paint for Childhelp, so they can paint all the playground equipment on their campus. The Beaumont Cherry Valley Recreation and Parks District Octoberfest will be held Sept. 21,22 and 23, at Noble Creek Park on Oak Valley Parkway. Our club will be selling apple strudel and ice cream. This will be a fundraiser and the proceeds will go to next year's scholarships and youth service programs. The club is losing three good members, two are moving to Laughlin, Nevada and one is moving to Utah. This will affect our club in doing fundraising and community service. We are always looking for new members. The more members we have, the more service we can do in the community. Our focus is helping the children of the world and the community of Beaumont. The Beaumont Kiwanis Club meets in The Lodge Conference Room every Thursday, except for the first Thursday of the month. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm. Many of the members come early and order at the Bistro and eat prior to the meeting. You do not need to be a resident of Four Seasons to be a Kiwanis member. For further information, call Buzz Dopf at (909) 208-0880. Hope to see you there! ~ Buzz Dopf
