FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 51 Ladies Putters Group The Ladies Putters Group is expanding its horizons. In addition to their weekly putting on The Courts' putting green, the LPG members are venturing outside of Four Seasons. On Aug. 17, the group participated in a Putting Tournament at the Tukwet Canyon Golf Course, in Beaumont. LPG members played 18 holes on the Tukwet putting green. After the tournament, the group enjoedy an awards breakfast at the Clubhouse. Prizes were awarded for the Lowest Score and Most Holes in One. There was also an award for the Closest to the Hole Contest winner. LPG members had a wonderful day in June at their inaugural tournament at Tukwet. If you want to try something new, come and try your hand at putting. You don't have to be a golfer and all ladies are welcome. The LPG provides assistance and encouragement, not to mention a lot of fun, for anyone interested in putting. They also have putters and balls, if needed If you are an evening person, there is putting every Monday at 6:30 pm. If you prefer to putt earlier in the day, join the group on Fridays at 9:30 am. All sessions take place on The Courts putting green. If you have any questions regarding the Ladies Putters Group, please contact Judy Irving at (951) 922-2525. ~ Vivian Walker In August our club enjoyed a very special social evening which consisted of salad, pizza and drinks. In addition, a late trophy presentation to our Fourth of July winners was conducted. Thank you, Cindy! Those winners were: Mike Corbett and Ron Erickson – 1st Place in Doubles competition; Tom Herron and Dave Thomason – 2nd Place in Doubles; John Hyland – 1st Place; and Mike Corbett – 2nd Place in Singles competition. And of course, after that we all enjoyed some special homemade desserts at the home of Bob and Sue Cooper. A very special thank you to Bob and Sue. The rest of August we played our usual very competitive games of horseshoes in the heat, but we started at 8 am and were in the shade of our special tree which we call our "Thank You God" tree. Now it's time for my sales pitch to invite you to join our (most fun ever) club and if you've been reading these monthly articles, you'll understand why I say that, and if you are new here and like horseshoes, come on and take a chance on us — no complaints so far. Our club contacts are Ron Erickson, (951) 846-3288, rejlerickson@ sbcglobal.net or Gary Christie, (951) 845-0520, goldtoy@earthlink. net. ~ Ron Erickson Horseshoe Club The Horseshoe Club with spouses at the pizza party
