FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2018 61
We went to the Ernie Maxwell Trail in July.
The Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail is a leisurely 5.2
miles round trip with 675 rolling feet of elevation
change. The gradual and enjoyable dirt single track
overlooks the mountain community of Idyllwild and
is appropriate for hikers of all abilities. The trail
passes peaceful streams, quiet forests, and sterling
San Jacinto Mountains views of Tahquitz Rock and
Strawberry Valley. Following our hike, we had a
wonderfully relaxing lunch at the Gastrognome
Restaurant in Idyllwild. All in all, a great day for a
hike! ~ Gary Sigritz
TAKE A HIKE CLUB
We have three newly resurfaced
courts. They are the far east courts
at The Lodge and they look amazing.
Games are scheduled at 9 am on
Saturdays and Mondays. All are
welcomed to come play, learn, cheer,
moan, and enjoy. Shade trees and
flowers are nearby.
The front tables in The Lodge will
have interest sign-up sheet for names,
phone numbers, email and also days
and time suggestions.
Which color disc goes first? How
do you score? Players use a cue (cue-
stick). How do you keep opponents
away from scoring? Play begins after
drawing playing cards for partners. For
more information call Mike Saperstein
at (951) 769-7909, or Marty Rotman

Shuffleboard
Attending the hike (starting lower left going clockwise) are Gary Sigritz, Lynette
Simonson, Marty Rotman, Len Tavernetti, Bill Schouten, Jim Seim, Bertsy Seim, and
Paulette Sigritz
On a great Saturday morning in August many shuffleboard players have fun,
