| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2018 | 5 The community will be seal coated this month. Yes, the entire community! We hope to only do this once every 12 - 15 years after the black rock slurry is applied, instead of every six years as we did before. You have and will continue to receive emails and information regarding the areas and dates of the application of the product. The Facilities Committee formed an ad-hoc inspection committee and is working with the EPC committee members to inspect and coordinate parking and traffic control during the project. Please note that every effort has been made to ensure the process is as minimally disruptive as possible. Read the Facilities Committee article in this issue for more information. Have you noticed all the new faces in the community? We continue to have many new owners moving in. A couple of years ago, I wrote about the benefits of being a good neighbor. I feel it's worth repeating. We are all familiar with the term "being neighborly," which seems easy. The vast majority of residents in the Four Seasons community are good neighbors. Here are some things to keep in mind: When you meet new residents, welcome them! If you are a new resident, be open to meeting your new neighbors. Get together for a cup of coffee or a cold beverage and get acquainted. When you're traveling through the community, give someone a smile, a friendly wave, or exchange pleasantries at the mailbox or in the Lodge. Remember that you're living next door to each other until one of you moves away. If there was an unpleasant exchange, those things have a way of festering unless you do something about it. Please make every effort to address and resolve issues, as quickly as possible, with your neighbor before you call our office and ask my staff or me to "take care of it." You would be surprised how many times I have asked the person calling to complain (about their neighbor), if they have spoken with the neighbor. Most of the time their answer is no. Be the bigger person and invite them over and casually bring up what is bothering you. All of you are good people, from so many interesting backgrounds, cultures and geographical regions. All of you made the decision to live here. So why bear grudges, hold on to bitterness or have an ill- temper? A cartoon we have in the office says, "Don't take life too seriously. No one makes it out alive anyway." It's simple: Treat the others as you want to be treated. Have you heard that saying somewhere? Thank you and have a happy Halloween!
