56 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2018
What an amazing hot summer this year, but the heat doesn't
stop our players. The Paddle Tennis courts are set in a cool,
breezy area of The Lodge grounds which makes me look
forward to the play, but also maybe it's the people who play
paddle that also calls me to the courts.
How fortunate we are to be part of this beautiful, safe
community. I'm reminded of that every day. Come out and play
our game — we'll show you how it's done. Easy and rewarding
fun.
See you on the Paddle Tennis courts. ~ Diana Johnson Ali

Fall is on the way and hopefully we will start to enjoy some cooler
weather for pickleball. Our sport is one of the fastest growing in the
world and here at Four Seasons we seem to add more players each
month. The great thing about our group is we have all levels of
ability from beginners to tournament players, so if you are interested
in seeing what all the fun is about come on down to the courts and
join us. In October we will have several of our players competing
in a large regional tournament in Claremont, California, which is
about 50 miles west of us and played at the Claremont Tennis Club
just below the 210 freeway. Several of us will be there to support and
cheer on our friends on Oct. 7 and 8. Good luck! ~ Rick Von Kleist
