FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2018 7 Happy autumn! If we are lucky, the weather will start to cool down a little and our air conditioners can get a little reprieve. Regardless of the weather, we have some great events in store starting with the busiest day in October: Oct. 6 here at The Lodge. We'll start out the day with the HOA Neighborhood Garage Sale from 8 am to 2 pm. Then from 9:30 to 11 am, there will be a wonderful opportunity for a Pet Blessing Ceremony outside The Lodge (see the Tails and Trails article) and finally gathering with great folks in song, with Karaoke in the Ballroom from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. What a fun day! Saturday, Oct. 20, is the long awaited Harvest Craft Fair in the Ballroom. Last year we had a packed house and this year we expect the same. If you love buying one-of-a-kind, unique or handmade gifts, then this will set you up for the holidays. This event is one of my favorite shopping experiences all year! If you've never been, don't miss out. Saturday, Oct. 27, is going to be spectacular! This is going to be the Masquerade Murder Mystery event of the year. What a perfect event for Halloween! Someone's going to be murdered. Are you going to be able to determine who did it? Delicious appetizers and sweets, plus you can bring your own favorite beverages. Feel free to dress up too. There is nothing like human props to help make the ambiance even more special. If you haven't already purchased your tickets, do it now! Finally on Friday, Nov. 2, at 6 pm, there will be a special presentation in The Lodge Movie Theater or RCN (depending on interest), by Director Dan Healy. He will be presenting his popular documentary, Finding Joshua. This a fascinating and riveting story of the autistic boy who was lost in the San Bernardino National Forest. It is also a great opportunity for you photographers and film makers to get a chance to hear of some techniques that might help you in your endeavors. There is a sign-up sheet in The Lodge Lobby to help us gauge attendance. Have a wonderful October and I'll see you around The Lodge! Activities Director Corner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director
