20 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2018 The purpose of the Facilities Committee is to see that the buildings, grounds, and assets are properly maintained. We inspect and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the need for purchases, repairs, and maintenance of the common areas or items within the com-mon area facilities. Three vendor quotes are required for any project, and the Facilities Committee works closely with our management to select the best vendor to recommend to the Board of Directors for final approval. A primary goal of the committee is to assist the Board in making good decisions for the community. We also have valuable input from our residents, groups and clubs in regard to their concerns, needs and wants for our community. Though the committee has a number of projects in progress at any given time, we always have a job priority list. This list helps the Committee and Management work closely together to focus on the most urgent concerns. The Facilities Committee has moved forward with a vendor for the roof repairs required at The Lodge, Spa and RCN buildings. The repairs should hopefully start this month. The roller shades in The Lodge Ballroom, Arts & Crafts Room and the Spa building Exercise and Aerobics Room are in need of replacement. We are reviewing vendor bids on this project. We currently have several positions open on the Facilities Committee for anyone interested in serving our community. The Facilities Committee meets in the RCN building on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am. We always welcome residents to join us and share their ideas or concerns. ~ Bruce Lewis Facilities Committee We are striving to meet our objectives for the HOA takeover from K. Hovnanian anticipated to occur at the end of 2019. The committee expects final gas company approval for the dog park anytime now. Research continues for additional storage and amphitheater modifications. The Master Plan survey will be conducted an additional month. Three new residents were made official members of the committee: Wayne Staples, Patrick Gerety and David Brown. We welcome homeowners' interest. Our meetings are at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN conference room. Please come visit us. ~ Johanna Ballard Community Planning & Transition Committee
