FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2018 37 Dominoes The start of the quarterly domino playoff for the personalized, prized trophy began in September. It started off with a bang and a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of hungry dominoes players. Domino play for the trophy consisted of three rounds of heads-up playing. The winner of the first round advanced to the second round, and the winner from the second round then advanced to the final third round. The final round ended up with Pete Antoine, Solomon Hayes and Robert Steen battling for the trophy. Pete won and was the first winner of the trophy. Solomon came in second place and Robert finished third. It was a lot of fun. Congratulations to Pete and all of the players that participated in the competition. Get ready, we will do it again in December. Surprise, surprise, surprise… in our regular domino playing sessions, Jesse Dimmer was the domino champ for September, winning 19 game wins. Jesse was also the domino champ last month. Keep up the great playing. Dominoes are played every Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 9 pm in The Lodge Game Room. Come out and join us have some fun and make some new friends. Practice is from 5 to 6 pm on both days. Jesse Dimmer is usually available to give you help and tips on the game of dominoes if needed. For more information, call Jesse at (951) 769-2035 or Reggie at (951) 769-6483. ~ Marvin Gaines On a scale of one to 10, how healthy are you? What is causing you to rate yourself as less than nine or 10? Could it be arthritis in your feet, ankles, knees, and other joints, or maybe your high blood pressure, or the cholesterol reading at your last doctor visit? Could it be the heavy breathing when you exert yourself, or maybe it's the loud night snoring? Possibly, the view in your full-length mirror every morning starts your day with a rating less than 10. Then maybe TOPS and losing a few pounds can help. Nobody at TOPS ever judges another member, but we do encourage each other every week as we try to improve our health through weight loss. Several members have lost 30 or more pounds while others are just able to keep off pounds sensibly. The statisticians tell us that every year we add three to five pounds and the holidays are approaching. Now is the perfect time to start eating and exercising to build a healthier you. We have speakers each week who give us motivational and informational talks to help us along our life's journey. This month we examined an eating plan called "Day One." It is an easy-to-follow plan for weight loss. We also had presentations on yoga and air-fryer cooking. Sometimes, we even hear from members about their individual struggles with weight and their recent successes. We meet every Tuesday morning at 8 am in the Ballroom. Think about it. Maybe this is for you. For info, contact Andi Henderson (918) 497-6491. ~ Andi Henderson TOPS Pete Antoine, champion for the quarter Peter Antoine with Jesse Dimmer, September Champion
