FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2018 43 Women's Evening Bible Study This is the month that our focus turns to Thanksgiving and the beginning of the holiday season. When I think about family and friends that have been an integral and loving part of my life my heart fills with gratitude. We have so much to be thankful for. Our Bible study will take a deeper look at thankfulness. What does the Word of God direct us to do? How do we apply His word to our daily lives? All ladies are invited to share in this study on Nov. 8 and 29 from 6:30 - 7:45 in The Lodge Game Room. A sign-up sheet is in The Lodge and I will contact you with more information. Fellowship, food and fun is planned for our Christmas event on Dec. 6. All ladies are asked to bring a snack to share and a "white elephant" to exchange. The plates and plasticware will be provided and you are to bring a non-alcoholic drink for yourself. We are growing together through the Word of God. You can too! If you have questions, please contact Mary at baerhuggy@aol.com "I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving" Psalm 69:30. ~ Mary Baer Life Guide Bible Study During November and early December, Jim Seim will facilitate our study. We invite interested residents to join us for fellowship, discussion and learning from God's Word. We meet every Tuesday at 7 pm in the third section of The Lodge Ballroom. Our Christmas Potluck will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6 pm. Location to be determined. Contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797-3302 or docletha72@gmail. com. ~ Doc Sellars; docletha72@gmail.com Bereavement Group It feels rather strange to be sitting in the RCN Conference Room for the Bereavement Group meeting. Yet, this is our new location. The room is already private, so after five years of covering the hall windows in the Arts and Crafts Room, we no longer need to do that. Nor do we need to stick up the Do Not Disturb sign. There's already a sign there. And no chairs have to be moved around to find the most comfortable ones. The Conference Room chairs are lovely: cushy, yet firm, and the seats are high enough. Nice! The room can get a tad frosty, but a jacket or sweater does the trick. But the people in the room are no different than many who have come before them. At first hesitant and a little confused by the idea of a bereavement group, they soon find their way and begin the touching, difficult, glorious, healing journey all of us in the room are on. If you have experienced loss and think you might like to try joining us, please come to a meeting. You will be welcomed and we will make every effort to help you become comfortable. Our meetings are confidential so that everyone can feel safe sharing their story. We meet on Mondays from 1 to 3 pm, in the RCN Conference Room. You can just come in, or you can contact me first at lauriemlarson425@gmail.com or call me at (951) 922-0934. All contact is confidential. ~ Laurie Larson
