We are getting ready for our big Holiday Show, which is the weekend of Nov. 30, and Dec. 1. While we have been rehearsing, you may have seen some of us in the Radio Show and in the Love and Marriage Show. We are a busy group! An email has been sent to everyone who signed the interest sheet and included an email address. There were a few addresses we had difficulty reading so our apologies if you signed up and did not receive the email. Until then, safe travels. ~ Sharon Bond Four Seasons Singers Travel Group SEASONED SOLOS If you are single and enjoy a variety of activities, then Seasoned Solos just might be the group for you. We currently have 20-plus members. At each meeting we discuss what is going on in the Inland Empire and plan activities for the coming month, from local lunches and dinners to excursions to presidential libraries, Redlands Bowl, Metro Link trips into LA and the beach train to San Juan Capistrano. There's not much that we won't consider doing. We meet on the first Friday of each month in The Lodge Craft Room at 6 pm. For further information, call Joyce at (951) 850-3055. ~ Joyce Olson Classical Music Club We are classical music lovers with an interest in sharing our love, knowledge, and interest in classical music. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Theater. We listen to and watch musical selections on the big screen. Each month we focus on a particular work or several selections of one composer. We also discuss current musical performances in the area. We welcome new members. Contact Steve Benoff at steve.benoff@verizon.net or (310) 413-4896. ~ Steve Benoff Kiwanis Club of Beaumont Starting the first of the year, our club voted to meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. On the third Thursday, the Wine Club has their meetings and the Bistro and Lodge are very busy. Our next service project will be Trunk or Treat at the Beaumont Sports Park, Oct. 31. The event is sponsored by the Beaumont Police Department. Treats will be handed out in a safe environment, keeping the kids off busy streets. Many of our members will be helping the Winter Wish Project. The Winter Wish Project joins volunteers with the Beaumont School District to provide gifts and food to deserving families for Christmas. Last year, over 200 families and 650 kids were served. This project has been going on for over 29 years. Beaumont Kiwanis also donates money and will select a family for whom to purchase gifts and food. If other clubs in our community would like to help a deserving family, please call Pam Dopf at the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce at (951) 845-9541, extension 103. They are looking for groups or individuals to help sponsor a family. We are always looking for new members. The more members we have, the more service we can do in the community. Our focus is, helping the children of the world and in the community of Beaumont. We meet in The Lodge Conference Room on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm. Many of the members come early and order at the Bistro and eat prior to the meeting. You do not need to be a resident of Four Seasons to be a Kiwanis member.
