FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2018 7 It's Thanksgiving season and there certainly is a lot to be thankful for in this beautiful community. The first thing to be thankful for besides the spectacular ambiance, is the people. People, who start out as residents, then become neighbors and, in no time, are friends. It is well known that Four Seasons Beaumont attracts some of the nicest, smartest, most talented individuals of any community in Southern California. If you are reading this and live in this neighborhood, you can confirm that fact. Since only the cream of the crop live here, there is a special awe, respect and courtesy that everyone always extends toward one another, especially during the holidays. The Four Seasons facilities can really get packed in November and December with 80+ special club events and parties. However, everyone is caring and flexible, so parties go smoothly and participants are patient should one party need a few more minutes to clean. Be aware of the extra holiday hustle you can expect in the next several weeks. One of my favorite days at The Lodge is Veterans Day. Join us Sunday, Nov. 11 at 4 pm for a special Veterans Day program. The March Air Force Base Museum is bringing to the Ballroom a fantastic display of military uniforms throughout our history, curated by our own Veteran, Jerry San Filippo. A fascinating display indeed! The U.S. Naval Sea Cadets will be presenting the colors and the amazing Rosa Galarza will give us goose bumps as she sings in honor of our Four Seasons heroes. It will be a program we won't soon forget. Let's take just one hour out of the year and come together to appreciate those who served our country. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome. Don't miss the annual "Holiday Extravaganza!" On Friday, Nov. 30 at 5:30 pm, there will be a golf cart line up in front of The Lodge for a Holiday Cart Competition. The winner will receive a gift certificate and bragging rights. Immediately following the competition will be the Community Golf Cart Parade starting at The Lodge at 6 pm. Al Gray will be our golf cart leader and will plan the parade route for us. At 7 pm, the wonderful Holiday Show performed by both the Performing Arts Club and the Seasons Singers will take place in the Ballroom with yummy refreshments at the conclusion of the show. Kids and guests are welcome and as usual, there is no fee to attend. You must however, pick up tickets at The Lodge front desk the week of Nov. 20 for your preferred show night. There will be holiday shows on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 pm as well as golf cart parades on both nights. However, the golf cart competition will only take place on Friday night. Have a memorable and delightful Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing you around The Lodge. Activities Director Corner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director Happy Thanksgiving!
