| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2018 | 13 Facilities Committee As this article is being written, the big street resurfacing project is approaching 50 percent completion. There have been some bumps in the road (pardon the pun) but decisions have been put in place to smooth out the process (and the roads). When completed, we will have great looking, long lasting street and parking lot surfaces that will not require annual re-slurring. We appreciate the patience of the residents of Four Seasons during this project. We understand how disruptive this has been. Thank you for your cooperation! As the daylight hours are now shorter, the committee is adding solar sidewalk bollard lighting on the pathway along the tennis courts. Two styles are being installed to determine how they blend with existing fixtures and the effectiveness of each. When selected, that specific style will be installed along the walkway to improve what has been too dark. Also, the solar lights along Four Seasons Blvd. that had failed are being replaced. Just in time to brighten the sidewalks for the shorter days ahead. Besides large projects, the committee does monthly inspections of common facilities to stay on top of anything that needs attention. It is always the mission of the Facilities Committee to maintain the community to the highest standards for all to enjoy. Four Seasons is a wonderful place to live and the Facilities Committee is committed to keep it that way. Landscape Committee ARC is here to serve you, the homeowner. The five members of the ARC strive to keep your property values up and our community in prime shape. Please read the Architectural Standards & Regulations before you begin to make alterations to the exterior of your property. I have had to privilege of serving on the ARC for over seven years and the honor to be Chairman of the ARC for the past four years. I shall be leaving the committee on the first of November to retire for the third time. The last two adventures were volunteer types. When Ronald Regan became governor of California he asked me to serve (again as a volunteer) on his Committee for Children & Youth. He taught me to be humble and to listen more than to talk. This lesson has been my guideline and endeavor for the past 55 years. As a newspaper editor and publisher, I always confirmed any information I was told to insure that it was correct and factual. To serve on the ARC one must employ all these talents and abide by the rules, not one's opinion. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of our HOA. ~ Jack Harrington Architectural Review Committee By the time you receive the November Herald you will most likely have seen the tree trimming well underway and the last phase of our landscape project completed on World Cup. Weather at this time of year can play a role in if these projects can be completed now scheduled for October. It is worth mentioning that as the tree trimming crew does their work, homeowners must refrain from giving tree trimming instructions to the work crew. We welcome two new Landscape Committee volunteers to our committee. Irene Becker and Bob Frahm are the new members, while we said goodbye to Charles Ball and Rudy Rich as they move on to other adventures. Homeowner landscape issues need to be addressed by completing a form at the front desk which will be forwarded to the Landscape Committee for consideration. Once the committee has met and a decision is made, you will receive communication as to the resolution. We always welcome homeowners to address landscape concerns or visit our monthly meeting. We hold our meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 pm taking place in the Board Room.
