Int'l Culture Club
We are fast approaching the end of
the year and the start of the holiday
season. We celebrated Halloween last
month featuring our costume parade,
which is always a lot of fun, and a
big hit with our members whether
or not they wear a costume. This
month in November, on the second
Thursday evening, we will celebrate
Thanksgiving with a traditional
menu on our buffet. Doors to the
Ballroom open at 5:30 pm.
Sign ups for our dance are held on
the first Thursday of the month at the
North Clubhouse at 3 pm. Members
pay $24 and guests pay $27. Any
Sun Lakes resident can sign up and
attend one of our dances one time
and pay the $27 guest price. Our
dinner buffet for the evening will be
as follows: Turkey breast (cooked in
bag), baked ham with both meats
served on a carving station, sweet
potatoes, mashed potatoes, dressing,
Chef 's seasonal vegetables, cranberry
sauce (no nuts), and pumpkin bread
pudding with maple cream sauce
for dessert. Your dinner salad with
tomato, cucumbers and ranch and
Italian dressings will be pre-set at
your table when you enter, along with
warm dinner rolls and butter. Coffee
and water is on the table and iced tea
will be on a sideboard.
If you need to cancel after signing
up to attend, contact Carol Hurt at
769-1315 before Sunday afternoon
after the Thursday sign-up and she
will return your check. After that call
her for a take-out box for your food.
Our club dues of $25 pp run
January through December. They
can be paid now and if you join now
for next year, you will get an extra
month by being entitled to attend
our December event this year.
