6 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2018 | GM Report By Christopher Mitchell August Open Session Board Action Items: • The Board accepted the resignation of Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Committee Member Karen Royer. • The Board accepted the resignation of the District 4 Delegate & Alternate Delegate George Johns and John Hill. • The Board accepted the recommendation to appoint Barbara Elness as the District 1 Alternate Delegate. • The Board accepted the recommendation to appoint Dolores Daugherty as the District 4 Delegate and Chantal Cedillo as the Alternate Delegate. • The Board accepted the recommendation to appoint Roger Smith as the District 21 Alternate Delegate. • The Board accepted the recommendation to appoint Vicki Wood as the District 12 Alternate Delegate. • The Board accepted the recommendation to appoint Tim McNevin to the Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Committee. • The Board approved resolution to pre-lien and lien delinquent accounts. • The Board approved the proposal from the Marketing Advisory Committee to work with the website "55places.com" to update their information about Sun Lakes. • The Board approved the Sun Lakes Couples Golf Club revision to their By-Laws. • The Board approved the proposal from Deana Ries Designs, for design services for the Main Clubhouse. Funds will be drawn from the Repair & Replacement Fund. • The Board approved the proposal from Creekside & Grip Golf to renovate the Championship Lake #9. The funds will be drawn from the Repair & Replacement Fund. August Report on Executive Session Action (non-confidential) Actions that were taken by the Board at the executive session meetings on Aug. 1, 3, 6, 8, 17, 22: • The board reviewed third party contracts as it pertains to the management contract. The board held interviews with four companies regarding management services. • The board met with three members in the community. • The board received two variance requests for the parking rules and regulations. After reviewing each matter, the board approved the variances on a limited basis. • The board wanted to re-open the discussion and review the renovation of lake #9 on the championship course. Management contacted the vendor that had been used for the previous lakes, and asked for updated costs for the renovation. This item is on the agenda this evening for further discussion. • The board reviewed interior design proposals and held interviews, with designers, for the Main Clubhouse. The Board is looking at renovating the clubhouse carpet, paint, and draperies. This item is on the agenda this evening for further discussion. • The board met with Securitas regarding the contract services. • The board held four show cause hearings for violations to the rules and regulations. • The board held 21 disciplinary hearings for delinquent assessments, parking violations, and master architectural violations.
