| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2018 | 23 Bingo Advisory Committee Happy Thanksgiving! November is the last month of BINGO for this year. We are dark in December so the ballroom can be used for holiday parties. We will resume again in January 2019. Look for our news in the December Lifestyles. It will have information on Bingo for 2019. This month, Bingo will be on Tuesdays, Nov. 13, 20 and 27. Come join us for a fun evening. For just $7 you can win up to $500. We are happy to report that BINGO has donated $1,500 to the Veterans Walk which will be held on Nov. 10. How fun was the October edition of the Lifestyles? It certainly put us in the Halloween spirit. What a touching cover photo submitted by Anita Lawrence, along with the article on page 27. It's wonderful to have a means of good communication to our Sun Lakes residents, making them aware of what's going on in their community. The magazine is published at no cost to residents and is subsidized entirely by advertisers. Since 2003, doing it this way has eliminated that expense to the HOA, saving Sun Lakes nearly $1.8 million. This is a stunning time of year; we'd love to see your photos. We encourage the residents who are camera buffs, or who have just snapped a great high resolution picture on their daily walk, to submit it to the editor at sunlakesnews@yahoo.com. This month's photo challenge is "What are you thankful for in Sun Lakes?" Do you remember what was going on in the Lifestyles in November 2017? It is always fun to look back on past years and be reminded that in our community we have many beloved traditions that are carried on year after year. The beautiful cover was David Greenberg's picture of "Homer the Hummingbird." We had the annual Veterans Walk, the Halloween Doggie Parade, the Craft Show. We saw Willie Nelson, and the tribute band Fortunate Son concerts, brought to us by the Recreation Department. The first Greek Night was put on by the restaurant, and many, many more fond memories and fun times. Peruse through your current edition of the Lifestyles and look for things that interest you and make your own 2018 memories and traditions. The best thing about memories is making them. If you would like to see a page dedicated to things we are grateful for in the Sun Lakes Lifestyles, where you can thank or recognize a staff member who went above and beyond for you, or just thank a helpful neighbor, please send your comments to: "Things we are grateful for" at: sunlakesnews@yahoo.com. Happiness is contagious, let's continue to be a carrier. Lifestyles Advisory Committee
