54 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2018 | Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the winter (Oct. through June) we meet at 7:30 am with a tee time of 9 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests are welcome! For lunch information, call Pam Munson, 609-4803. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Women's Golf We play a variety of weekly golf games and scheduled tournaments on our Championship Course on Thursdays and on the first Saturday of each month. The first Thursday of each month is a Scramble or a Shamble, followed by our General Meeting and luncheon. In addition to our regular weekly games, we have nine major tournaments scheduled this year, including our Member/Guest Invitational Tournament and the Extravaganza, which is co-ed and played with members of the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club. Tournaments are flighted. Our $65 annual membership fee includes a WSCGA-sanctioned handicap (Women's Southern California Golf Association). To obtain the handicap, you will need to play five 18-hole rounds on the Championship course. If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge and the camaraderie of our many golf sisters, please join us. Applications are available in the Main Pro Shop and on our Sun Lakes website. Lady Niners As the Lady Niners begin to have their golf wind down, preparations are made for the "Cup Championship," which will be held on Thurs., Nov. 8. The "Turkey Shoot" will also be held on that same day. Our general meeting will be held Thurs., Nov. 1 at 10:30 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room, followed by a shotgun scramble. Our annual dues need to be paid Nov. 1 - Nov. 15. This would be necessary if your information is to be printed in the yearly booklet for 2019. Lady Niners play nine holes of golf each Thursday. They may be playing a regular golf round, a fun round of golf or it could be a scramble. Members compete for club champion, cup champion, most improved and in many other events. Each member carries a GHIN handicap. If you are interested in more information, call Peg at 845-9742. She can help you get started off on the right foot.
