Make sure to join us for the Saturday morning mixer on Nov. 3 at 9 am. Following the mixer at 11 am is the Tennis Social with Four Seasons. We will be having the Turkey Shoot on Sat., Nov. 17 at 10 am. Come out to watch or participate to win a turkey! The Sun Lakes USTA men's doubles team played in the sectionals the end of September and played very well. Many of the matches they lost were in tie breakers. So close! Way to go! The USTA team consists of Bob Walter, Tom Whittington, Daryl Barton, Steve Vanloon, Kelly Curtis, David Nethercott, Dave Huetten, Steve Rostoker, Alan Lott and Chuck Beckman. Please mark your calendar for our Holiday Party on Thurs., Dec. 6 at 5:30 pm. This dinner/dance will be in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom and is $25 per person. Doesn't matter… we have players of all skill levels. We play Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 4 to 6 pm, and Sat., 10 am to 12 noon in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (normally). Info., Bruno, 797-0357. This year we have had a great summer with lots of early morning play and now we are officially into fall. This is especially a perfect time for morning POP Tennis. Please note playtime will now return to 8 am. This is a great time to invite a friend or neighbor to join you on the court. Equipment is available for newcomers to use. We welcome everyone interested in the game to join us. Scheduled days of play are Tues./Thurs./Fri. from 8 to 10 am. On Sundays, the courts are open to everyone, but many POP Tennis players show up to play on Sundays at 8 am.
