Kathy Bird is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Diabetes Educator with over 30 years experience in the nursing field. In this presentation residents will learn about the practical side of taking care of diabetes and tips on healthy living. All residents are welcome and you can sign up online or the front desk. Topics include: Misconceptions of diabetes, tips on food, exercise, and meditation, understanding food labels and setting goals. The presentation will be followed by a Q & A Session. Kathy has put a lot into this presentation and is truly grateful to present this important information to her fellow SDV residents.
