| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2018 | 23 Bingo Advisory Committee ATTENTION ALL COMMITTEES The Bingo Advisory Committee wishes each of you a happy and peaceful holiday season. Bingo is dark for the month of December. We will return on Jan. 22 of 2019. It has been brought to my attention that there has been quite a few negative comments in our Sun Lakes Facebook group regarding Bingo. I would like to clear up a few things. We do not cost the Sun Lakes community anything. Bingo supports itself! We even purchase our own Styrofoam cups for water. Bingo also brings in a lot of money and much enjoyment to many people in this community. The majority of the money is given back to the players as prize money. We put a small amount away for charity. This year Bingo has donated $15,200 to charity. And the rumors have got to stop. They are just rumors! This committee believes in communication. If you hear something or want to know something we are happy to speak with you and answer your questions. Call me, Anne Magnolia, at 845-8700 I will be happy to communicate with you. As another year comes to a close, your Lifestyles advisory committee members for 2018 thank you for a wonderful year and hope that you enjoyed reading the magazine as much as we enjoyed being a part of it. In this month particularly, you will find many people in the community you are grateful for. Be sure and stop by the front desk and fill in your form thanking them, to be listed on the "Things We Are Grateful For" page in the Lifestyles. What a great way to acknowledge them. The Master Board will be announcing the new members soon who will join the 2019 Lifestyles Advisory Committee. A quick reminder about the monthly calendars: All clubs and groups are responsible to make sure the dates for meetings/events are correct in both their articles and on the calendars. If you change a date or time, make sure it is reflected in your article and on the calendar. We wish you all a happy and safe holiday season, and a prosperous and joyous new year! These articles should be used to update the community as to what you have accomplished over the previous month and what goals you have set. Meeting dates, times, and places should be included.
