We will light the decorated District Christmas Trees in the front of the Main Clubhouse! Afterwards, go to the Ballroom for hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies, and holiday entertainment provided by Barbershop Chorus, Tap Dance, Makua Hula Hawaiian Dance, Precision Stardust Dancers, International Dancers and a special performance from Spectrum Dance Studio in Beaumont. We may even be lucky enough to get a visit from good ol' Saint Nick himself. So make sure you stop by to take your picture with him and let him know what you want for Christmas. District Tree Lighting Mon., Dec. 31, 6:30 pm – 12:30 am, doors open at 6 pm. Mark this spectacular evening down on your calendar! The Annual New Year's Eve Party is just around the corner. This year we will have City Lights joining us in rocking the night away and ringing in the new, decorated in red, white and blue. Your meal starts with fresh baked rolls and a salad. The main course will consist of a meal specially created and prepared by our fantastic chef and Food & Beverage Director. This is sure to be an incredible meal that you will love. You will then finish up with a dessert created just for you by our terrific baker. To top things off, you will also be able to enjoy a champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight. It's a wonderful, unforgettable evening of dancing and fun that you won't want to miss. This year's party is only $55 pp. Table listings will be posted on the Recreation Bulletin Board. Please remember there is a maximum of eight to 10 people per table. Contact the Recreation Department to see if tickets are still available. The Illusion of Sun., Jan. 27, 2 – 3:30 pm, Doors open at 1 pm, $10 pp. Join us in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom for a fabulous "Rockabilly to Rhinestones" show featuring Elvis and Ann-Margret impersonators. Danny Vernon's "Illusion of Elvis" show is very popular in Canada and all down the west coast, as he travels to do shows in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona. For our event, he will bring his wife, Marcia, for a special Ann- Margret and Elvis duo. With the voice, look, and passion of the 20th century icon, Danny Vernon strives to recapture Elvis Presley's appeal to an ever- growing audience. This show will be theater seating and the cost is $10 pp. New Year's Eve Party Activities Day Sat., Jan. 19 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 9 am – 12 pm. The Recreation Department is proud to continue its yearly tradition of Activities Day! Each year all of the active clubs, groups and recreation get together to show you what Sun Lakes has to offer. Want to join a new club, want to know exactly what the Young at Heart Club is all about? Want to learn how to play 8-ball or bocce? How about trying your hand at acting… well this is the event for you! Mark your calendars and bring your neighbors and friends. A second Activities Day is being considered for next fall so that Clubs, Groups and Committees can recruit before the year end. ! ELVIS
