YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US! Do you like to sing? Sun Lakes has its own Barbershop Chorus that meets every Wednesday morning in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 9 to 11 am. The sheet music and audio learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys. We all have a song in our heart waiting to come out. So visit us and sing along! Enjoy a coffee and donut at the break. We gather together as "hearts with ears" in absolute confidentiality in a safe shared place where strangers may become friends. Each of us is unique; our grief cannot be identical to any other, and the way to get to the other side of your grief is to "go through." We cannot criticize or judge. We now meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. This is a permanent change of day of the week and time. Bereavement Group Barbershop Chorus Well, it happened again, another train trip to the Los Angeles Main Public Library for genealogy research. Down, down the elevator goes below ground to the depths of the fourth floor and brings us out in the Genealogy/ History department. Got there early with lots of time to read and write and copy before the late train back to San Bernardino. Managed to find family information dating back to the early 1800s and the history and maps of the areas of family homes and businesses. It became a real treasure hunt. Can't wait to share with the family all this new information. The Sun Lakes Genealogy Club meets in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 1 pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Everyone is invited to join and the dues are $20 pp due on the first of the year but enrollment is open all year. Are you interested, then come and sit in on one of our meetings and scout out the group and what we have to offer.
