6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2018 | Happy Holidays! There is so much talk about the wrong greetings during the holidays, and being (or not being) politically correct and how offensive (or not) it is to mention Christmas. But what is really important here? Is it to make YOU happy and make sure people understand your feelings? Or is it to offer joy and cheer to OTHERS and make them happy? I found this wonderful quote on Facebook (of all places) that really spoke to me: "Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind." May your holiday season be filled with joy and peace from the heart. Events for December: • Decorate your home for the holidays. One winner for each area (Legends, Masters, Invitationals and Championships) will be announced on Dec. 9 at the beginning of the holiday program. • Dec. 6 is the Holiday Luncheon for Charity. $10 of each ticket sold will go to the Salvation Army. This is a popular event, so tickets may be sold out by the time you get this magazine… but check at the front desk for any re-sales. • Dec. 9 will be a whole afternoon of holiday fun starting with FREE Santa pictures in the Lobby at 2 pm. Bring your grandkids and get a picture taken with the family and Santa. After that will be the Christmas Golf Cart Parade, ending at the Lodge for the Compassionate Friends Candle Lighting ceremony, then into the ballroom for the Vintage Voices Christmas Program. Look throughout this issue of the Herald for more information on all these events. And now on to 2019… SAVE THE DATE on your calendar for Sun., Jan. 13, 2019 for our Comedy Night in the Ballroom. "Marsh Starr, the Hypno Diva" will be here to entertain you. We are looking for 15 brave and adventurous volunteers who are willing to be part of the show. See more info on the flier on the following page. Tickets go on sale Dec. 10 at the front desk. Happy New Year! A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli
