HO-HO-HO- are you all ready with gifts and decorations in place? Not me, but I "sorta dig" that last minute rush — well, just a little bit. The wonderful volunteers that decorate for the Christmas holidays have already done a fantastic job of getting us in the mood. We also have the addition of a grand piano at our entry with Mr. David Tuvin embracing those beautiful black and white keys for our enjoyment. I'll make a pretty safe bet that Santa and Mrs. Claus will probably show up before the end of the month too. Please let me regress, I was negligent in mentioning that November first started off with a big event for our governing and local business people. The Hemet State of the City annual breakfast guests experienced what Four Seasons and Francisco can offer. They were welcomed at the front door by David Tuvin and his wonderful piano music, entertained by West Valley High School Jazz band and then enjoyed a full on breakfast by Francisco and staff. Accolades to you all! Many of us not traveling for the holiday enjoyed ourselves with the symbolic Four Season's Thanksgiving dinner with all the traditional trappings, who could ask for anything more? Two serving times, 12 noon and 2 pm seems to work well, giving people their preferred time to eat and still enjoy other personal activities of the day. The committee has already addressed one change that was requested multiple times on our survey about the Bistro Sunday Brunch. We asked Francisco if the hours on the Brunch could be extended to 2 pm and he willingly agreed; so the new hours are 9 am to 2 pm on the second Sunday of each month. So sleep in, go to church or watch football, everybody should be happy, Amen. The committee's other accomplishment is on order as of this writing, are called "Cloches!" In our survey it was mentioned that served food (large groups) was not as warm as desired so these covers should help the food hold its heat. This request was okayed at the October BOD meeting. Please pray they arrive quickly so they can be put them to use with our December festivities. A reminder for buffet diners, state law requires a new clean plate must be used if you go back for seconds. Please bring your own wine or champagne glasses for brunch or Bistro meals and lastly, so Francisco can spend his time in the kitchen please remember to do all catering requests or events through the Bistro Catering Liaisons. You can pick up a business card at the front desk. Of course no one wants to miss out on our Four Seasons New Year's Eve, "Enchanted Winter Gala." Every year these wonderful ladies outdo themselves to make us happy and excited about the new year arrival. Don't dilly dally or you won't get a table or dine on the great food choices. Those of you that were at the Oct. 24 BOD meeting already know the winners of the free "Brunch for Two." Leonard and Sandi Gleason's entry was pulled in front of everybody by our BOD President, Russ Brown. As mentioned last month the drawing will be held on the BOD meeting days. Messages were left at Gleason's but they are possibly out of town so no picture again this month. Happy holidays to all and warm wishes for a Merry Christmas. May the new year bless us with love and harmony!
