| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2018 | 25 Mah Jongg Club What is Mahjongg? Legend has it that this game originated in China hundreds of years ago and was exclusively a man's game. We have two guys in our club and would like to welcome more! We have several new players in the past few months and would like to invite you to join us this year and have a fun time playing and socializing. Now is the perfect time for all of you guys and gals who are curious about the game to come and learn how to play! Or, you may be an experienced player who is new to our community and would like to join our group. We play every Monday and Thursday from 1 to 3:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room. If you want to learn how to play, we have written instructions and someone is always available to teach you. You are welcome to come and observe anytime when we are playing. We also have birthday luncheons, holiday parties and other get togethers throughout the year. For information, please call Mila Bodrov at (951) 223- 3338 or Marilyn Fields at (619) 892-1128. Bunco Babes A lot has happened this past month, such as Election Day. I hope whomever you voted for and measures you voted on have past and will be for the betterment of our country and our people. God Bless America. Another great tradition in this country is Thanksgiving. We are all lucky to have family and friends to celebrate with and give thanks. We are all so blessed. I would like to personally wish our community a happy holiday season, may your December holidays be filled with family gatherings and full of fun and good food leaving you with great memories. We did not have Bunco in November since it was the day after Thanksgiving, so I wish to invite anyone who has never been to Bunco to join us for our Christmas Bunco on Dec. 28 in the Card Room at 12:45 pm. See you there. 20-20 Hand & foot canasta It's almost Christmas and I'll bet you don't have all your shopping done. Don't worry. You will still have time for our Hand & Foot card games. We have a wonderful group of people learning to play our game. Most all of our players need no further instructions… in fact, many in our group are now helping others learn the game. It's a wonderful game to play in your home on the cold evenings. We play the 2nd and 3rd Fridays of each month and, when we have five Fridays in the month, we play that day also. So call us and we will be happy to teach you in our homes before you come to play in the Card Room; maybe you would feel more at ease if you did that. But if you prefer, come to learn on Friday. Play starts at 1 pm so be a little early.. Please call Billye (951) 926-8880 or Joyce (951) 325-8840 and either one of us will be happy to give you instructions.
