| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2018 | 27 Tennis Friends This fun, active group does more than hit balls on a tennis court. They offer a fun, social atmosphere where players of all levels are welcome and included in celebrating special events. In October, players gathered at local restaurants to celebrate Cheryl Robinson's and John Tarabochia's birthdays. Cheryl, a former professional bowler, traded her bowling ball for a tennis racquet several years ago and has been honing her skills on the court ever since, taking lessons to steadily improve her game. John, an avid tennis player, is known for his blistering serve and powerful groundstrokes. Both players can often be found on the court, enjoying both social and competitive tennis among their group of tennis friends. Everyone is encouraged to come out to the courts and brush up on their tennis skills, while having fun meeting new players. Tennis times: Men's and women's begins at 8:30 am, Monday and Friday; men's and advanced women's begins at 7:30 am, Tuesday and Thursday; Mixed-up Doubles begins at 7:30 am, Saturday. Come join the fun! We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We invite anyone that would like to learn how to play Pickleball to come on down the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 am for lessons. We know you will have as much fun as we do. Players of all skill levels welcome! Pickleball Huntsman Senior Games Cheryl Robinson blows out the candles on her birthday cake John Tarabochia found the "sweet" spot on his cake, made in the shape of a tennis racquet The Huntsman Senior Games are the largest Senior Games in the world. This year they had over 11,000 athletes participating from 34 countries and all 50 states. It is their 34th year, I believe. Now there has been 80 foreign countries that have participated. This year two Four Seasons participants won medals. David Weakley won a silver medal in the 75/79 age group and Bob Morriss won a bronze medal in the 75/79 age group. Congratulations to Bob and David!
