| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2018 | 5 Every year, we to look forward to December for many reasons. Volunteers set up collection bins to benefit the Marines (and their families) stationed at Twentynine Palms. Several trees will be set up in the Lodge lobby and tags will be picked by residents to purchase gifts for children in need. Many people benefit from the generosity of all. As in years past, the Board approved funding to decorate the outside of the Lodge, gazebo and our main entrance with lighting and colorful decorations. I encourage all of you to invite friends and family to come see the beautifully decorated Lodge and its surroundings. We are blessed with many generous people who dedicate their time to this endeavor. Please take the time to thank them. Or better yet, if you are new to the community and you have not had the opportunity to volunteer to decorate the Lodge, please do so next year. As our seal coating project winds down, the volunteers and staff have noticed many yards are still being overwatered. When asked, many residents either didn't know where the controller was or how to operate it. Since water is still a precious commodity with rates going up, we strongly suggest you contact a lawn professional or a neighbor to help you. Also, if you see any vehicle leaking fluids, perhaps from the CR&R trash trucks, help us by noting either the truck number or which container the truck was picking up. CR&R is cooperating with us to mitigate the spills and asked us to identify the truck if possible. CR&R is making an effort to inspect the trucks coming into Four Seasons. They are also looking at modifying their route to have empty trucks arrive on site. Presently we are in the middle of the driver's overall route. As this year draws to a close, I cannot thank you enough for your trust and support in allowing me to serve your community for 11 years. I would also like to acknowledge our management staff members who, without their collective efforts, would make managing your community very difficult, if not impossible. Those individuals who make this happen are: • Mari Salazar, Assistant General Manager • Louise Ceccarelli, Activities Director • Maria Donti, ARC/Administrative Assistant • Our Lodge attendants Brenda, Janet, Jim, Julie, Katie and Tracie We are very fortunate to have a management staff who cares about providing the best customer service to each and every one of you, who make every effort to be good stewards of your money and who strive to do their best to meet the daily challenges that come with managing an active senior community that is 15 years young. We also gratefully acknowledge our Board of Directors; Russ Brown, Jim Hatcher, Tony Criscenti, Ken Pounders, Gene Hikel, Greg Rockvam and Jim Crase, who give many hours of service to this community, and most importantly, their full support and encouragement. As we look forward to enjoying the holidays, may you and your loved ones enjoy the peace and blessings of the holiday season! General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth
