FOUR SEASONS SPOTLIGHT The Lodge Holiday Hours 2013 Easter Sunday: Sunday, March 31, Reduced Hours 12 - 9 pm Memorial Day: Monday, May 27, Reduced Hours 7 am - 7 pm 4th of July: Rec Center North Ad Hoc Committee By Jacque Sneddon, Board President The Board accepted the turnover of the Recreation Center North building (old sales office) from K. Hovanian to the Association at the January board meeting. This building was originally scheduled to be turned over at the build-out of the community which was estimated to be in 2012. However, the slowdown in housing derailed that plan. Rather than allowing the building to remain empty for an undetermined period of time, it was decided it would be better for the Association to take it over and put it to good use. We are excited about the opportunity to have this building available to us. We are growing and definitely need the space. We must decide the best use for the building, both short-term and into 12 the future. To accomplish this, the Rec Center North Ad Hoc Committee was created. The committee will develop an overall plan for the use of the building by identifying current and future needs of the Association in the areas of space for amenities, business, and storage. The plan will include any proposed remodel and/or modification of the building, a determination of what fixtures, furniture, and equipment will be needed, and a proposed construction and furnishing budget. The committee will include a representative from the ARC, Bistro, Communications, Events Systems, Finance, Landscape, Rules and Regulations, and Safety and Facilities FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2013 | community News committees and at-large members from our community. To fill the resident member positions the Board will be looking for people with experience in the construction trades, building design, facility planning, and other related fields or experience. Persons interested in applying for committee membership can obtain an application from the Lodge Office or the website. We also want residents' suggestions to help the committee consider all possible uses of the building. How can we best use the building now? How can we use it after the next club house is built? A suggestion box will be set up at the Lodge to collect your ideas.
