EXCURSIONS Randy Riggle's Sign-ups begin for the Recreation Department excursions on Feb. 1, at 8 am, in the Rec. Dept. offices. PLEASE NOTE! Due to some of the excursion refund policies, and to keep cancellations down to a minimum, we ask those who wish to sign up for an excursion to please check your calendar for prior engagements prior to signing up for excursions. REFUND POLICY: 1. Cancellations made 30 days prior to the departure date of an excursion or special event will qualify for a full refund. 2. Cancellations made after the 30 day refund deadline are not refundable. However, if an excursion or event has sold out and there is a wait list, the Recreation Department may issue a refund if the ticket can be resold from the wait list. If a holiday falls on the first day of the month, sign-ups will begin the next day. waiting list policy The waiting list is created by the Rec. Dept. for sold out events/ excursions. This list is used (in order of registration) when the attendee has to cancel due to illness, doctor's appointment, etc. The waiting list is not used for additional sign-ups for secondary excursions that are scheduled due to their popularity. Contact the Rec. Dept. if you have any questions about either of these two policies. We accept checks only (payable to Sun Lakes). All Recreation Classes, Excursions, and Special Events are open to residents only, unless otherwise specified. We may open Excursions and Special Events to guests if numbers are low and the activity is in danger of being canceled. -Thank you! Nostalgia Show Sat., Feb. 9, 7:30 - 9 pm, Doors open at 6:30 pm. Randy Riggle's "Nostalgia Show" takes you down memory lane with your '57 Chevy as we remember the times and people who changed our lives. You'll be taken back to that fateful day at Pearl Harbor and travel through the 40s, 50s, and 60s until the first steps are taken on the lunar surface. Nationally touring stand-up comedian Randy Riggle will be your tour guide on a trip filled with songs, laughs, and over 40 impersonations in this one and a half hour one-man show. Tickets are $10 pp and are on-sale in the Recreation Department. The show will be theater seating. Remembering the 60's Musical Tribute Show Sat., Feb. 16, 7:30 - 9 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm. This D&K productions event will include Neil Diamond (Bob Garrett), Barbara Streisand (Sharon Owens), Dionne Warwick (Vivian Scott), and Paul Anka (Justin Shandor). Please join us as these performers give a musical tribute to some of the greatest artists of the 60s! The show will be theatre seating, first come first serve. The doors will open at 6:30 pm.
