The Tennis Club Fall Tournament was held on
October 27. This was a highly contested mixed
doubles contest between seven teams. A total of 21
matches were played between the teams and at the
end of the contest the outcome was a tie. A playoff ensued between the
team of Belinda and Jerry versus Gay and Phillip. The fight began and it
soon became another exciting tie. One to one. The final game was very
close but the winners were GAY and PHILLIP.
Well played tennis and a good time was had by all. Hope to see you at
our next tournament or come join us on Tuesday and Friday mornings at
9 am for open tennis
TENNIS
On Saturday, October 27, Bocce's yearly BBQ and tournament was held at
the Bocce Courts. About 50 people enjoyed a great BBQ lunch.
The tournament of 32 players was won by Greg Krebs and Dennis
Riemann. The second place went to Mabel Durand and Millie Varna.
The Bocce Club will start up on Tuesday, January 8 at 2 pm. If anybody
wants to play Bocce in December, they can check out the Bocce Cart at the
front desk.
